Rehoboth Beach, Del. - Grotto Pizza announced today that they are now serving Grotto Pizza products in several dining areas throughout Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.  Grotto Pizza has worked closely with Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to incorporate the look and brand design of Grotto Pizza as part of the Festival Buffet.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to bring the legendary taste of Grotto Pizza to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino,” stated Grotto Pizza president, Dominick A. Pulieri.  “I founded Grotto Pizza in 1960 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with my brother-in-law, Joe Paglianite and sister, Mary Jean.  Being a part of the Festival Buffet at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino allows us to work with one of the premier resort leaders in Delaware.  The Grotto Pizza and the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino teams will continue to bring the very best products available to all hotel and casino guests.”

“The new Grotto Pizza station offers our customers new and delicious choices in keeping with our plan to refresh the selection and atmosphere of the Festival Buffet by incorporating a new look, feel and taste throughout,” said Ed Sutor, president and CEO of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.  “In the 15 years since I’ve been in Dover, I have heard many people say that we need Grotto Pizza in Dover.  We believe this collaboration will not only provide our customers with the great taste of Grotto Pizza, but will also bring Delaware’s premier pizza business to new markets and more exciting venues.”

Grotto Pizza and a wide range of Grotto Pizza classics will also be served daily in the Festival Buffet including strombolis and other dishes in the near future. Grotto Pizza will be served in other eating establishments throughout Dover Downs Hotel & Casino over the next two years, including the Garden Café, the Deli, and room service.

Rehoboth Beach, Del. -  Grotto Pizza presented a check for $3,000 to Delaware Boots on the Ground,   a non-profit organization that assists and encourages military members and families during deployment and peacetime by matching services to needs.  The monies raised by Grotto Pizza came from the donation of a percentage of sales on June 30 and July 2 in all restaurant locations.  Dominick A. Pulieri, President, matched the contributions that were raised for this worthwhile cause.

“It was personally very easy for me to join Jill Biden, in helping to raise funds for "Boots on the Ground," said Dominick A. Pulieri.  “As an honorary commander at Dover Air Force Base, I have come to personally know many of our men and women in uniform. Not only are our troops in uniform facing very difficult situations, but the families that are left at home are also facing challenges without adequate resources. Being separated from your loved ones is tough enough, but dealing with all of the uncertainties is a whole different situation.”

“I believe each of us should help support causes such as "Boots on the Ground," noted Pulieri.  We can become complacent while our troops are fighting a war abroad and we are comfortably enjoying our freedom here at home.  I highly commend Jill and hope others will join in such a noble cause.”
